To a Place of No Regrets

…7:00 am…conveniently cold…in the quiet…under the shy sun sharing a faint light…crisp smell of the cold morning air…the pleasant purring sounds of a few vehicles passing-by, accentuating the quietude of the moment…in the solitude of this morning walk, I sense harmony with the gentle rhythmic beatings of nature…as if they float…as if they glide…and everything seems so simple and clear…everything makes sense and needs no further explanation…no need of understanding…no philosophy nor psychology…and I am reduced to a sweet vulnerability…for it is beyond me…for it is where the heart and the head conspire and become one…and I just simply allowed my heart to lead me where it wants to be…to a place of no regrets… “To a condition of complete simplicity,” as T. S. Eliot once wrote…

…and then, I read this:

“Be helpless, dumbfounded,
Unable to say yes or no.
Then a stretcher will come from grace
To gather us up.”

~Rumi (Zero Circle)

…and I just smiled…because that is all I need…
