…i did another photo shoot at St. James Cemetery…i tried different angles in shooting this bunch of flowers and my gut told me that this one expressed more a sense of melancholy and of longing and the silent cry of the heart…hands down, i opted for black & white for the mood of the image…and then I read and was moved by this sad short poem by the ancient Japanese poet, The Monk Ryozen:
When I am lonely
and go for a walk, I see
everywhere the same
autumnal dusk.
i felt a deep well of sadness but how lovely…i just shook my head…
