…minus 7 degrees Celsius…there I was, standing still, alone, and awed by the gentle whiteness of the conservation area…so serene…so still…there was clarity…no complications…a deep sense of belonging…a deep sense of an unseen presence…my heart opened wide like a begging bowl…and I was just yielding and soaking in the intimacy of the moment…and then I gently made some movements as I realized that my silent presence in a posture of sweet surrender is more important than the quiet slithering of the passage of time…after thirty minutes of photographing what I felt were silent poetical moments, I calmly walked away, allowing my heart to lead the way…

(* i photographed these images at the Charles Sauriol Conservation Area, Toronto, Ontario)
