One Quiet Afternoon

One Quiet Afternoon

It’s all about the sunlight after weeks of grey sky and snowy white landscape…a joy to behold as it spills over and contaminates an empty wine bottle sitting on the narrow ledge of my basement’s window…it unravels sweet thoughts casually floating in my mind, those of laid-back quiet early summer afternoons back home…it’s all about nostalgia, of beauty, of wonder, of the good times, of the simple life…gentle…untethered…free…whimsical…and it touches and scrapes the heart
…squeezing…tearing…massaging…tickling…and you begin to see and feel in your heart the softness of the surroundings…and you become aware of something deeper and mature…something that sweeps you off the ground and smoothly delivers you to a soft landing that is simply beyond comprehension…of seeing wisdom in the ordinary…something containing…something magical…it sure is…
