Every Step is an Intimate Conversation with Life

Every Step is an Intimate Conversation with Life

…there is so much to understand…so much to assimilate…and I try to imagine and rehearse every mindful step I have to take…every breath I have to release and take in…it is a lonely walk…be it in the woods or on a snowy road…and yet everything is as light as the air…and a pleasure…it tames the storms…it lightens the load…every step is an intimate conversation with life…every breath a mellow song…and the wind like the poignant sound of a lonely saxophone…yet there is comfort as I navigate my way…a feather-like lightness of being…a certain kind of unqualified peace…no fear…no reservation…no unreasonable demands…though the way is long, straight, twisting, turning, smooth, bumpy, craggy…and yet there is a term of endearment, a receptive heart, as the future holds in wait…a long term engagement…in the fullness of time…and there are those lights…yes, those lights…ever moving forward…
